7 Forbidden Acts of Resistance Training: The following 7 rules are a permanent part of my training regimen. These are forbidden acts of training:

  • Training without warming up
  • Ballistic movements
  • Forced reps
  • Negative reps
  • Partial reps – it is important to always get a full range of motion
  • Improper form and technique — always maintain good controlled form
  • Ending a session without cooling down and stretching

If when working out you do any of the above you are leaving the muscles in a vulnerable state and they are more susceptible to injury. Follow these 7 things and 70 to 90% of all injuries will be avoided.
