Ron Williams Turkey Burger Recipe

Dinner can be healthy AND tasty. This easy recipe is one that we enjoy – and the kids do too!

Turkey Burgers

1 lb. lean turkey burger
½ tsp. garlic salt
Freshly ground pepper
Chopped onion
1 egg
Provolone cheese
Lettuce — used as the bun to avoid eating complex carbohydrates in the evening
Tomato Slices
Sliced onions

Mix the turkey, garlic salt, pepper, chopped onion, and egg. Divide the turkey into 4 equal portions and press into patties. Grill the burgers or cook in a greaseless pan covered with ¼ inch of water. Bring water to a boil. Place patties in water. Cook through. When cooked place cheese on burger for 30-60 seconds or until melted. Remove burgers and serve wrapped in lettuce with the condiments of your choice.
